Baktotaal is located literally next to FS Solutions. So, when they were looking for a conveyor system, the first appointment was made in a jiffy. They returned for a second time because they really liked our work method and the result. “95% of the old conveyor system was incorporated into the new solution” said Arjan Stegeman of Baktotaal.
As we build systems in-house as much as possible to minimise the inconvenience to the customer. The new conveyor system was installed in the Baktotaal building in a single day. ‘That speed is extremely important,’ said Arjan. ‘During the installation, we went back to the old-fashioned way for the day and packaged by hand. That’s how we kept going.’
What Arjan also liked was the proactive thinking of FS Solutions. “They understand that the company cannot stand still. We discussed it and shaped the implementation process.” When Arjan ‘turned the key’ at five o’clock in the afternoon, the system immediately ran smoothly. “There were no teething problems. Not a single outage. The system just ran as it’s supposed to.”

Arjan had a clear idea of what he was looking for in his transport solution. He approached FS Solutions with his own drawings under his arm.
“We told them where we wanted to go and they gave points for improvement and additions. For example, round bends instead of angular ones for better flow. They gave this advice and left it to us to make the final decision. But the confidence is there, so we accepted all points for improvement one for one.”
